how would you introduce yourself?
When writing a letter or email, how would you introduce yourself? The letter written by Apostle Paul to the Romans starts with introduction of himself saying, “Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God” (in Romans 1:1). Paul whose name means ‘little’, introduced himself by humbled words such as SERVANT of Lord Jesus Christ. He was also called to be an apostle, which means “being SENT forth” to proclaim about Jesus Christ. In addition, Paul knew that he was SEPARATED unto the gospel of God to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. This first verse of introduction to the letter to Romans teaches us about the human author Paul as the Servant, Sent and Separated for the mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we humble ourselves and glorify Lord Jesus Christ in our introductions and every day of our lives.
