The Gentiles shall see… thy glory
The Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory. Isa 62:2
If we read from Verse 1 onwards, the Prophet Isaiah prophesied when Jerusalem was still a functioning city but it was a spiritually Corrupt City. Even though in this passage God is concerned about the actual physical place, it also represents Israel and even more in general sense, a representation of Gods people. Even mankind’s spiritual situation is similar that we were forsaken, desolate but because of the work of the Cross, God has given us new clothes, (Mentioned in Isa 61:10)
When God lifts up Zion, then the nations see it and are brought to trust in the Lord themselves. This work of the Lord will not only effect Jerusalem, it will extend to Gentiles and all Kings.
Isn’t it true in a Christians Life too? A believer was once spiritually desolate and downcast but Lord Clothed us with Robes of righteousness and Garments of Salvation. His Righteousness has been imputed to us and our sin was imputed to him. This was the greatest transaction happened and because of that, we have a great hope. Let us earnestly, Sacrificially Work and Witness for our Lord so that when the gentiles see us, our God may be glorified.
